Spiritual Book Club

An ecumenical spiritual book club open to all who want to share the journey through the writings of those who have lived extraordinary and inspiring lives.

Our first meeting on Sunday 7 September we will review “Dying to be Me” ( by Anita Moorjani, a remarkable story of a near-death experience and a complete healing from terminal cancer.

“The Snow Leopard” by Peter Matthiessen ( will be reviewed at our second meeting on Sunday 12 October. The author recounts his journey to the Himalayas as a biologist, which parallels his profound inner journey along the way.

On November 16 we look at “Tuesdays with Morrie” ( by Mitch Albom, a touching conversation between a dying man with a great sense of life and his devoted student.

December 14 finds us discussing “Man’s Search for Meaning” (, psychiatrist and Auschwitz survivor Viktor Frankl’s remarkable story of how to turn away from suffering towards a life of joyful purpose. (1959, etc., ±200 pages)

Participation is free. Our meetings will take place at 53 Rue Alphonse Renard, 1050 Brussels, from 19:30 to 22:00, unless otherwise indicated. Please let me know if you would like to bring a snack for our group to share.
