Stress and anxiety are such a part of our lives that it’s hard to imagine how to live without them, yet there are many ways we can alleviate their negative effects through the wisdom of Yoga, Ayurveda and Mindfulness.

Join Susan and Elisabeth for an exploration of practical and profound solutions to the ill effects of stress and anxiety. Learn self-regulation methods that you can easily practise at home or at work, benefitting yourself and those around you.

Susan Hopkinson and Elisabeth Grigoriantz-Rivasseau are both certified Yoga Therapists bringing their decades of knowledge and experience to the healing calm of Radhadesh, near Durbuy in the Belgian Ardennes for a weekend of practice and relaxation.

Friday 13 October 2017

From 15:00 – Arrival and check-in

18:00-19:30 – Dinner

19:30-21:00 – Introduction, followed by a discussion of the difference between anxiety and stress

21:00  End of activities – Noble Silence until after breakfast

 

Saturday 14 October 2017

06:45-07:15 – Gentle yoga

07:15-07:45 – Stillness practice – Body Scan

08:00-09:30 – Breakfast and free time

09:30-11:00 – Mindfulness of emotions & understanding stress through Ayurveda

11:00-12:30 – Yoga Therapy for Self-Regulation

12:30-14:15 – Lunch and free time

14:15-15:15 – Walking Meditation and/or Digestive Yoga (weather dependent)

15:15-15:30 – Reflections, Q & A

15:30-16:45 – Yoga Nidra

16:45-18:00 – Mindfulness – Perception and Deep Understanding

18:30-19:30 – Dinner

19:45-21:00 – Satsang/group discussion – Q & A

21:00  End of activities – Noble Silence until after breakfast

 

Sunday 15 October 2017

06:45-07:15 – Gentle yoga

07:15-07:45 – Stillness practice – Expanding Awareness

08:00-09:30 – Breakfast and free time

09:30-11:00 – Mindfulness of Death and Impermanence

11:00-12:30 – Yoga Therapy for Self-Regulation

12:30-14:00 – Lunch and free time

14:00-15:00 – Walking Meditation and/or Digestive Yoga (weather dependent)

15:00-15:15 – Sharing, Q & A

15:15-17:00 – Open Session according to the needs of the group

17:00               End of retreat

The weekend retreat is €390 which includes two nights in a shared room with private bathroom (single rooms available for a supplement), six delicious vegetarian meals, instruction and support by two highly-qualified and experienced yoga therapists and teachers. The fee does not include transportation to and from the retreat centre.

Radhadesh is accessible by train to Barvaux station, plus a short car ride to be arranged with Radhadesh staff for a small fee. Wherever possible, carpooling from Brussels will be arranged.
